When should I book my wedding hair and makeup in Perth?
For popular wedding dates, we recommend booking your hair and makeup around 12–18 months in advance, particularly if you're getting married on a Saturday during the busier spring and summer months. The earlier you book, the more choice you'll have when it comes to stylist availability, especially if you have a larger bridal party.
How long should I allow for wedding hair and makeup?
As a general guide, allow around 60 minutes each for the bride's hair and makeup, and approximately 45–60 minutes per service for bridesmaids. Mothers of the bride or groom usually require around 30–45 minutes per service. Your exact start time will depend on how many people are having services, how many stylists are booked and what time everyone needs to be ready.
Does the bride need to have her hair and makeup done last?
No — and we often recommend that she doesn't! We usually like to have most of the bridal party ready first, followed by the bride, with another bridesmaid or family member scheduled afterwards. This gives the bride some breathing room to get dressed, take photos and enjoy the lead-up to the ceremony without the stress of running behind.
