JACQUELINE PARKER CREATIVE
JPC STANDARD REFUND POLICY
The following terms apply to all private and commercial bookings managed by Jacqueline Parker Creative. They do not apply to bookings via the JPC Recommended Stylists service - you can view that refund policy HERE.
DEPOSITS:
Deposits are non-refundable, except in the following circumstances:
1. Unsuccessful Trial*
In the unlikely event of an unsuccessful trial (see definition below), the initial deposit paid for the actual day of your event is refundable. The trial fee and trial deposit remain non-refundable.
2. The Appointment Becomes Unavailable After Quoting
If you make a booking, and our team members have since become unavailable for your date after we provided your quote.
3. We Are Unable to Accept Your Original Booking
If we are unable to accept your original booking for any reason. However, if a client alters the scope of the booking after we have accepted it (e.g. reduction or addition of services/hours, changing to an unserviceable location, change of date or start time, or other material change), and we are no longer able to accommodate the booking in its revised form, the deposit will remain non-refundable. Whether we can accept the booking in its new scope is at our reasonable discretion.
PLEASE NOTE:
REDUCTIONS IN NUMBERS OF SERVICES BOOKED:
If the number of services in your booking is reduced, the deposit paid for the cancelled service(s) is forfeited and cannot be transferred or applied toward other services within the booking.
For example: If 2 makeups are booked, and a $50 deposit is paid ($25 per person), then 1 person cancels, their $25 deposit is forfeited and cannot be applied as payment towards the remaining 1 service.
REDUCTIONS IN NUMBER OF HOURS BOOKED:
For hourly rate bookings, if the number of hours required is reduced, the deposit paid for the cancelled hour(s) is forfeited and cannot be transferred or applied toward other hours within the booking.
For example: If 2 hours are booked and a $50 deposit is paid ($25 per hour), then 1 hour is cancelled, the $25 deposit for that hour is forfeited and cannot be applied as payment towards the other hour's service.
* UNSUCCESSFUL TRIALS:
An “unsuccessful trial” is defined as a trial where, after reasonable adjustments have been made during the appointment, the client decides not to proceed with the stylist for their event due to dissatisfaction with the stylist’s quality of work, style of work, or professional suitability.
To qualify for a refund of the event-day deposit due to an unsuccessful trial, written notice must be provided to JPC within 7 days of the trial appointment.
A trial will not be considered unsuccessful if the client:
-
Changes their mind for personal reasons unrelated to the stylist’s performance or suitability.
-
Fails to notify JPC of their dissatisfaction in writing within 7 days of the trial.
-
Cancels or postpones the event.
-
Alters the scope of the booking (e.g. services, location, timing) such that the stylist can no longer accommodate the booking.
-
Changes their preferred style after the trial has been completed.
